- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
- 12.8 oz hot fudge sauce
- 3.4 oz chocolate instant pudding mix
- 1 ¾ cups milk
- 30 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to the package directions.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the handle of a spoon, poke holes evenly across the cake.
- Microwave the hot fudge until thin and pourable.
- Pour the hot fudge evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk.
- Before the pudding fully sets, pour it evenly over the cooled cake.
- Refrigerate for about 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk the remaining pudding mix with milk.
- Refrigerate until fully set, about 10 minutes.
- Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip.
- Stir in about ¾ of the crushed Oreos.
- Spread evenly over the cake.
- Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- This cake tastes even better after chilling for a few hours.
- Make sure the hot fudge is warm enough to soak into the cake properly.
