Description

A hearty breakfast casserole featuring biscuits, sausage, and gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1 package biscuits (8-count, such as Pillsbury)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 package peppered gravy mix (2.3 oz)
  • 1 lb beef sausage (any flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef sausage until fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  3. Cut the biscuits into small pieces (about 4 pieces per biscuit).
  4. Spread the biscuit pieces evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. Layer the cooked beef sausage over the biscuits.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  8. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
  9. Prepare the gravy according to the package instructions and pour it evenly over the casserole.
  10. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and the eggs are set.
  11. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
